The Aftermath of the Tornado in Piedmont

On Tuesday, May 24th, 2011 devastating tornadoes made there way into many parts of Oklahoma.  This is the site of one of those areas - Piedmont, Oklahoma.  This storm certainly put ALOT of things into perspective for me.   

This is just one of many homes that were hit.  This home doesn't even begin to show the extent of all the damage.  Some homes were left with only their foundation.

Americans, Oklahomans... coming together after such great devastation.

a reminder of children's toys that have been tossed around in the storm...

and then...an amazingly beautiful sunset as I made my way home...  I feel tremendously grateful for all that God has given to me and all of His continued blessings.  My heart goes out to all of those who have been struggling during this challenging time.

Megan ~ 1 year

This is Megan and she just recently turned 1!  

She was really cracking-up at her Daddy!

Swafford Family in Midtown

 The Swafford kids are back and this time Mom and Dad joined in on the photos.  We met up on an extremely windy day but made the best of it.  Little Gavin gave us quite a challenge as you can see in this firs shot.  It just makes me laugh!  We had to almost trick him to smile during this session.  He is still quite adorable though...both he and his sister Riley.  

Miss Riley was ready to go for her shots...check out her sassy little pose with the hand on her hip.  Soo cute!

Okay so as you can see....Riley again...ready to go at any moment--soo sweet here... while Gavin...well watch out!  Here comes the tough guy!  :)  This little moment captured makes me laugh!

The sweet little expressions of an adorable little boy.

I love how their little heads met in this photo, precious...  They were trying to see what they could find hidden in the bricks they were sitting on.

I love this one of Gavin.  This boy has some beautiful blue eyes!  (Even though they were watering no thanks to the good ole' Oklahoma wind!)

Arden ~ 9 months

 Little Arden met her 9 month mark for this session.  She is still a very easy-going little girl when it comes to her photo sessions.  She's a dream!  (Mom and Dad, I hope she let's you all dream a little more a night VERY SOON).

Arden ~ 6 months (a forgotten blog...)

So, as I went to make a post of baby Arden for her 9 month session I realized I never posted her 6 month session.  Soo sorry sweet Arden!  So take a quick peek at her at 6 months.  She is such a doll!

Taylor's 1st Birthday!

A year has flown by and little miss Taylor is now 1!  She's had a rough year but she made it through all the doctor's appointments and 'challenges'.  Check her out on her big day.  She was adorable of course in her bday top, tutu, pink converse shoes, and absolutely adorable tights!

We were in the backyard, playing around when SURPRISE!!!...Taylor took her very 1st STEPS!  Not only did she take these steps the day of her birthday party BUT she took them on uneven ground!  Way-to-go Taylor!  We were all soo very excited!  I like seeing the reaction from Megan (Taylor's mom).

The Jarvis Family

Here they are again!  My friends, the Jarvis Family.  

Umm....let's just say Emmy was VERY EXCITED at the beginning of this session!  :)  I think Payson was initially wondering what was going on.  

Payson is getting soo big!  He looked adorable in this outfit and of course I LOVE the hat!

Mother and Daughter, and boy is Emmy just like mommy!  :)  She has the faces, the words, the body language.  It's hilarious!

I love capturing those real smiles and laughter.  Little Emmy and Payson had them laughing.

Check out the sassy Miss Emelyn!  She was proud of her little stance.  This girl knows how to work it!  :)

4 generations

I met up with this sweet family the day after Christmas.  They were wanting some shots to capture the four generations of their family with the newest sweet little addition.  :)  This was a super mini session so I've only posted a few of their shots.
